Shree Baidyanath Ayurved Bhawan Pvt. Ltd. is the world’s largest integrated manufacturer of Ayurvedic medicines. The company traces its lineage to over 100 years. Formally incorporated 98 years ago in 1917 by the late Vaidya (Doctor of Indian Medicine) Shri Ram Narayan Sharma,the company has grown from strength to strength. While its first manufacturing facility was set up near Calcutta, today, Baidyanath has factories at Calcutta in West Bengal, Allahabad and Jhansi in Uttar Pradesh, Patna in Bihar, Nagpur in Maharshtra, Baratoiwla(Solan) in Himanchal Pradesh, Jaunpur in Uttar Pradesh, Sauser&Seoni in Madhya Pradesh and Surajpur in Uttar Pradesh.
Together, all the 10 units of Baidyanath manufacture a comprehensive range of over 700 Ayurvedic classical formulations and patented medicines ensuring international standards of quality.Baidyanath has a network of over 900 sales centers and services over 7,50,000 retailers. The annual group turnover exceeds Rs 7 Billion and it employs over 3500 people.
Mr. Anurag Sharma has more than 29 yearsof work experience. He is responsible for the following: Defining strategy for growth, operations, products and expansion. Managing overall performance & profitability. Interacting with Leading various Industry forums & regulators for SBABL. Managing day-to-day operations of the units through functional heads. Sales, Marketing & Advertising strategies for SBABL. Overseeing the Research and Development activities of SBABL. Setting up state of the art manufacturing facilities at Baddi and Barotiwala for Baidyanath, Ayurvedant, Puma and Mantra. Acquisition and takeover of Pure Materials (PUMA) Brand, having a range of Herbal Cosmetics products. Was responsible for, complete turnaround in Re-Branding, Formulations development and International launch. Currently working and Promoting Alternative Health Care with over 36 Colleges in India.
The Highest Honor Conferred in India on Ayurveda and given either by the President or the Prime Minister of India has been instituted by him and his family since 1982. His experience and initiatives resulted in membership of Medicinal Plant Board, abody established by Act of Parliament of India under Ministry of Health, Government of India. He was inducted into the Planning Commission of India in an advisory role. Served in an Advisory capacity at Gujarat Ayurveda University. Serving on the Board of Pt.Ramnaryan Institute of Alternative Medicine in Bundelkhand University.
Involved in organizing various Vaidya Samellans(Conclaves) and conferences all over the country. Has been felicitated by all leading Ayurveda Organizations. Led the effort in organizing Ayurved Mahotasav(Ayurveda Mega-Celebration)in Jhansi for the 1st time on behalf of Uttar Pradesh Government. Teaches pro-bono at the State University of Bundelkhand and Various Colleges and Schools.
